About Ritsu Miyazaki

self-introduction

I’m Ritsu Miyazaki, a freelance writer living in Japan.I majored in Japanese literature at university and worked at an advertising agency after graduating. With the birth of my second child, I became a freelance writer and launched this site.

3 reasons why I started blogging

I started this blog for several reasons.First, I wanted to rediscover my identity. While playing myself to meet expectations in the company, I lost my likes and dislikes, what I want to do, my dreams, my values, in other words my identity. So I wanted to record my daily life to discover my identity again.

The second reason is that I wanted friends in the world.I will write about this elsewhere, but it is very difficult to make friends after having children in Japan.I want a friend who I can talk to about raising children, work, the future, and what’s happening in the world.

The final reason why I started this blog is because I wanted to discover and share the “richness of Japan”.To tell the truth, even though I am Japanese until now, I had no interest in Japan and wanted to go abroad if I had time off. Especially in Hawaii. However, due to the spread of COVID-19, I started living only in Japan, and I realized that Japan has a lot of culture, traditions, rich nature, and many good things. The time will come when corona will end someday. In the future, there will come a time when my children will come into contact with foreigners. At that time, I wanted to be able to talk about what kind of country Japan is as a parent and as a Japanese person, so I started this blog.

About this blog

I would like to explain the reason for the blog title “Red Heart”.The title Red Heart comes from a fairy tale my mother wrote. The story was about a little girl who complained every day and her heart got rusty, so she went on an adventure to restore her red heart.

I want to be a red heart that beats throbbing forever, and I decided to title this blog as a red heart because I want to transmit such information.I am sure that I will be able to deliver information that will make the readers feel excited, happy, and want to visit Japan.
